Multi-award Winning Auctioneer Triumphs Again

Lindsay Warner, from Brock Harcourts South Australia, has been awarded Harcourts’ prestigious National Auctioneer of the Year award for 2008-2009.
The announcement was made recently at the 2008-2009 black tie Awards Dinner concluding Harcourts' annual three day Conference in Adelaide.

The Auctioneers’ Competition was held over the two days of Conference with Harcourts’ auctioneers from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia competing for the title. The finalists then conducted the competition calling an auction in front of their Harcourts peers and independent judges.
Mr Warner has over fourteen years experience as a remarkably successful auctioneer. He is a Past President of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers, and in 2004 was awarded the title of ‘Fellow’ to the same organization for services to the industry.
In 2005, Mr Warner won the Golden Gavel, the highest award for auctioneers in South Australasia, and went on to represent his state in the 2005 Australasian Auctioneering Competition. He has since been appointed Trustee of the Gold Gavel competition to oversee its integrity as the premier training event for the auction industry in South Australia.
In his Harcourts career, Mr Warner has been recognised several times for the number of auction listings he has garnered.
“Lindsay is truly a stand-out performer both within this organisation and the industry in general. He is one of Australia’s finest Auctioneers and it is an honour to have him as one of our own,” Managing Director of Harcourts International, Mike Green said.
“As the convenor of the Auctioneering Championship, I must say that having judged these competitions for over a decade I was thrilled with the standard of the competition in both categories. Their research, training and delivery was excellent, and both Lindsay and Matthew Condon (winner of the Novice Auctioneer title) thoroughly deserved their wins with outstanding performances,” Convenor, Michael Brock, said.

Lindsay Warner is the Corporate Auctioneer for Brock-Harcourts in South Australia and Past President of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers. He spent 6 years as Corporate Auctioneer for Colliers International and 14 years as a Freelance Auctioneer to businesses throughout South Australia.
In 2004 he was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Fellow’ of the Society of Auctioneers & Appraisers SA for services to the industry.

This was followed at the Harcourts Gold Coast Conference with Lindsay being recognised as the highest auction-listing consultant in Australia (out of approximately 3000 consultants) for the Harcourts group.
